good point jodie, it is interesting, but of course, personal choice.

Maybe younger (and older for that matter) men scared of older women is a sign of "mommy" issues in the same way that when younger women fixate on older men it is alledgedly a sign of "daddy" issues. What is fascinating to me (in a fruedian way? misspelled? did i misspell misspell? shit!) is how often girlfriends and wives become mothers that it are ok to have sex with, but yet older women are icky, there have got to be some denial issues there, or something Freud could go off on.

Older women can be intimidating in a sense, atleast I can admit that, or so I tell myself. I was mostly joking about the scaryiness part. You are rather disarming.

Sorry I was of course joking and referring to your ongoing rhetoric about middle-aged feminine sexuality. Middle aged women aren't scary, well maybe a little.

one thing that blows my mind is all the backslapping at how wonderfully progressive the dems and libs and country at large is with this primary as evidence. A black pres? A woman pres? what about an openly gay president? how about an openly athiest president? How about a black woman? (at least Chisolm tried) How bout someone with a deformity? What about someone who (OMG!) was born in another country! Woman have been in power, even in this country (Pelosi, etc.) and have led others and it did not foment a throwbock to Boudica-like matriarchy.

I think we are both cynical but perhaps in very different ways. I kind of think with the right team, (like Rove's evil evil evil genius) a shitpile of money and a telegenic smile, ALMOST anyone, even a cokehead-drunk driving-C student jackass (bravely protecting the Rio Grande from the Vietcong!) can get elected president. I don't think its so much that we are at all past race/gender/class issues as much as it's the reality that we will believe whatever we are told, if its told pretty. Maybe it's my hardcore cynicism (my personal religion?) I don't really think (although I am a dude, so maybe I shouldn't assess feminist rammifications?) Hill running (imagine if it was Elizabeth Dole or Condy! Is it cause she's kinda leftist that it is seen as being more feminist?) put woman's lib that far forward, but it's sorta odd some women apparently think of it as a setback.

Also Hillary should not have lost, Obama should not have had a chance to beat the wannabe Kennedy Clinton clan. Their arrogance at the apparent fact they would win feb 5th is what lost it for her. If she had not made so many mistakes (bad money management, sniper fire?) then maybe you could say she lost cause shes a woman, and a scary middle aged one at that!Chelsea 2020?

yup, we are our creations. which is partly why it's truly creepy how much the country wants to suck obama's dick. we made him in the image of that which we adore--our false selves. the sexy, charismatic, brilliant, snappy dresser selves. can we say narcissism?

nice, thoughtful response jodie. j/k, gotta give lil sis crap, don't know why, other than that im a bastard.

Politicians are politicians. As the great philosopher George Carlin said, in reference to politics and politicians; "garbage in, garbage out." Its funny how we rail against politicians when in reality they are what we have made them. They are us, we are them. If they are all money grubbing, self serving bastards, so must we be, or at the very least, it is negative behavior among our leaders that we have reinforced and enabled.

Sorry jodie, my response was no better, if wordier, I suppose obvious but what the hell.

You seem to inspire me to rant, I am not sure why, sometimes in my typical half assed crazily influenced and highly opionated way. I agree with your point about political campaigns being essentially choreographed. (bad spelling? who cares its a blog response) I also got a kick out of the semantics of your rhetoric, chocolate Jesus and so forth.
